2020 is the year of the Corona-19 virus. Everyone has to stay home, social distance and wear masks. Babies are being still being born and children are still growing up. Time marches on. Dan is back in the studio doing social distancing photography sessions. It’s interesting how many new parents are calling to have him create portraits of their children before the year is up and the children have grown a full year without any quality photographs of themselves. Dan has been photographing babies and children for many years now. Many of those children he has photographed are now driving and graduating from high school. First Year Baby Portraits

One of the most fun things I do at Cleary Creative Photography is photograph babies. When a three month old baby smiles back at you during a portrait session, how can it not melt your heart. I have a year long baby portrait program called The Little Miracles First Year Baby Plan. During the first year of your babies life we will do four or five portrait session. If you come in early enough when your baby is a few weeks old we can do a newborn baby portrait session. Then at three months the fun begins. At three months your baby will start holding their head up while laying on it’s tummy. Their eyesight is getting better and they recognize a smile. At the six month session your baby will be able to sit up on their own. And they have learned how to laugh. The expressions I get at the six month session are beautiful. At nine months they are strong enough to stand up on their on. They aren’t walking yet but they might be cruising, holding on the the furniture. At nine months they might also begin to have separation anxiety and I have plenty of experience to help with that session to make sure we capture perfect photographs. We end the year with a 12 month session. Hopefully your child isn’t walking yet (or more likely running) but it’s a great time to do a few outfits. A child will do much better in an enclosed space like a photography studio instead of an outdoor portrait. When a baby is outdoor their attention is easily distracted and getting great expressions is so much harder. Here are three of my newest member of the year long baby club. Maternity and Newborn Baby Portraits

Dan Cleary of Cleary Creative Photography in Dayton Ohio creates beautiful maternity and newborn portraits for young family.

I am very fortunate to have so many wonderful clients who allow me to create beautiful works of art for their families. This African American couple asked me to create family portraits for them. They wanted maternity portraits before their son was born and then they brought him back in after one week for newborn baby portraits.

I am humbled that many families trust me with their family histories. I know that these maternity and newborn baby portraits will be part of the family for many years. This is one of the many things I love about my life as a professional photographer. I love working with families to create beautiful photography that they can display in their house. This couple also signed up for my year long baby plan.

The First Year Baby Portrait Plan is simple: a wonderful collection of your four or five favorite portraits to be taken at the stages of four weeks as a new born baby, three months when your baby is holding it’s head up and smiling, six months when they are sitting up and laughing, nine months when they are sanding up and a one year portrait to finish. Your child’s portrait collection will be delivered in a beautiful 10” by 20” portrait panel after the 12 month session. Look at the top of this page at girl’s and boy’s baby photo panel but it just doesn’t do it justice. You must see it to believe it! Both Mom and Dad serve our nation in the United States Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. We used Dads summer fatigue uniform in one of the newborn baby photographs. I love being creative and using props that are person to the family.

Newborn Photography

I received the most beautiful Mother's Day statement from a client yesterday. Thank you.

"Dominic's due date was 3/9/10, instead he arrived when I was 25 weeks pregnant a whole 16 weeks premature on 11/27/09 weighing in at a whopping 790 grams and 14". Unfortunately His twin brother Christian didn't survive our traumatic birth. I gave up total control to his doctors to do whatever necessary interventions to sustain life and prayed to GOD for the strength we would both survive the journey ahead. I didn't care what condition he would be in when he was given back to me, so long as one day, I could bring my son home.

After spending 5 1/2 months in the Dayton Children's Neonatal ICU, almost 6months old in this photo and barely 4lbs. He was given to me. Allowed to "fly solo".

Preemie clothes still baggy so we photographed him naked in a NB sized diapers. He is one of the few that have come through such a rough start with a lot of bumps, bruises, near death experiences, and flat lined resuscitation and plenty of Battle Scars from brain surgery from 2 strokes at birth but relatively, cognitively "unscathed". A true medical incredible miracle story that were told in articles in their medical journals of treatments they tried, protocols they made up along the way that worked to save the micro-preemies that came into this world after him.

I share these photos of us taken a few weeks after finally brought him home, on this Mother's Day because it was when I finally was able to feel like a "Mother" I didn't have to ask permission to touch or to hold or feed him, instincts took over and he was all mine. Dan Cleary captured my joy in these photos that are true artwork displayed proudly in my home and hangs on the walls & offices of each member of his incredible medical team at Children's hospital that there that against all odds and statistics, for extreme immaturity."

Great Baby Photography in Dayton Ohio

Baby photography is one of the most fun things we do around here at Cleary Creative Photography. Photographing children is something that we have done for many years and the children seem to respond well. We give each family an hour photography session and that is especially important with children and babies. Sometimes the children are great in the beginning of the session and sometimes they need a few minutes to get warmed up to a new environment.

When you go to a franchise photography studio it’s all about the numbers. Each person gets 10 minutes and if your child is happy in those 10 minutes then good luck. If your child doesn’t respond in those 10 minute then your out of luck. We have a great track record with the babies we photograph. This is the third baby we have photographed for this family. We have a first year baby program where we photograph the children at one month. Three months when they are holding their heads up. Six months when they are sitting up. Nine months when they are standing up and one year old. We put these photographs into one of our custom art baby panels, ready to hang on your wall.

First Year Baby Photography

I wanted to show off the album for latest graduate of my Littlest Angels first year baby plan program. I had a really good time photographing Maci this past year. This is the second child I had the privilege to photograph from the Patterson family. I photographed their son a couple years ago. In the middle of the year we even went to Cox Arboretum to do family portraits. During my Littlest Angel First Year Baby program I photograph each baby four time at 3 months, six months, nine months and 12 months. The parents receive a finished baby panel at the end of the year. I want to thank Jaycie’s Mom for bringing her in for her three month baby portraits. Jaycie’s Mom signed up for the First Year Little Miracles Baby Portrait series. The Portrait series include four photography sessions starting at 3 months when the baby is holding their head up. Then 6 months when they are sitting up. Six Week Baby Boone

My Niece brought her new baby boy in for his first professional photographs. He slept at first but then he woke up in a really good mood. Mom and Dad are proud parents.
